| Can anyone enter a raffle?
Anyone 18 years of age or older can enter a raffle, with the exception of those from countries/states/provinces where participation in raffles are prohibited. If you are under 18, your parents must purchase the raffle tickets.
Can I purchase more than one ticket?
Yes. You can purchase as many tickets as you wish and enter as many raffles as you would like.
When are winners drawn?
The time of the drawings differ by event. Check on the raffle page for the dates and times. In most cases, raffles are drawn on the afternoon of the last day of the event. Winners will be notified within 24 hours.
How are raffles drawn?
The drawing occurs using a complex, but easy-to-operate system that uses a database containing all entries. From that database,
a winner is drawn at random and emailed automatically that they've won.
The system archives the raffle and posts the winner's name and raffle
details to the past winners section of the Organization's raffle site.
There is no human involvement in the drawing process other than the
raffle administrator pressing the draw winner button to engage the action.
How will I know if I have won?
You will be notified by email from us and, if possible, a personal telephone call from a Canine Health Events' representative. A winner's newsletter normally will be sent out to all raffle members with the winner's name following the drawing (Via E-mail).
Where is my ticket?
You will not receive a physical ticket, but a digital representation will reside in the database for each ticket purchased. You can track your digital tickets in the members area of the Canine Health Events' raffle website. After you purchase a ticket, detailed raffle information
and remaining ticket counts are available to you. There will also be a info pack with the ticket Number e-mailed to you or posted.
Are the raffles legal?
Yes, Canine Health Events, Inc. is a recognized non-profit organization under federal law and raffle's held by non-profit organizations for fundraising purposes are legally allowed.
What will be done with the money the CHE raises?
Canine Health Events, Inc. is devoted to raising money for canine health research. Since all of our work is done by volunteers, our administrative fees are quite low. The dog clubs that we associate with may direct the net proceeds to a specific research project. Otherwise, we will fund a study approved by a major foundation, such as the Morris Animal Foundation or the AKC's Canine Health Foundation. Anywhere from 85 to 100% of the net proceeds from each raffle will go directly to canine health research. |
